Have you ever wanted to be a superhero?
Well, Campbell River is giving you a chance to become one in 2023.
The city’s fire department has just announced they’re looking for people to become part-time firefighters!
Their paid, on-call firefighter training program is starting up, and they’re encouraging anyone interested to submit an application.
Campbell River fire chief Dan Verdun told Campbell River Now about the difference people signing up can make.
“Paid-on-call firefighters are essential members of the Campbell River Fire Department…We welcome and encourage any interested in becoming a paid-on-call firefighter…”
“Those that serve are part of a diverse team that overcomes challenges to support the community,” said Verdun.
