Epic Drone Battle in Strathcona Park

Will the big drone win?

Watch as two videographers battle it out over the most beautiful shots of NorthIsle

A drone battle sounds like something out of a war movie. But in this case, we’re talking about camera drones.

Make no mistake, these drones are fighting. But they’re not trying to destroy each other. They’re fighting over who can take the most beautiful video of Strathcona Park.

Two members of Unbound Vision went to the park to battle it out. Unbound Vision is a small film making studio. The team of five guys is from different parts of Canada, but they do a lot of work on VanIsle.

They also do crazy stuff, like hanging a $5,000 camera out of a car.

It’s clear these dudes aren’t from NorthIsle. But you can tell they love it.

“That is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. I might cry,” Sean Williamson says in the video.

His opponent, Jarius Leeson, has a bigger drone. But Sean is out to prove that size doesn’t matter.

The cool thing about the drone battle is that they talk about how they’re getting the shots. So you get to see these totally beautiful videos of the park, but you also learn a bit about taking drone videos.

You also get to see how they recover when things go wrong.

So go ahead, watch two friends compete for the most epic shots of Strathcona Park.

Best–or perhaps worst of all–the loser has to pose in the snow in a bikini.
